WHAT IS A BUGGY CLIP?
Also called pram clips or buggy hooks, they are small devices attached to a pram’s handle or frame to hang shopping bags, changing bags, coats and even scooters.
Do you need pram clips?
They are very handy as extra storage when the basket under the buggy is full. Buggy clips are especially useful if you have a pram with one handlebar rather than two handles and there is nowhere to hang bags. You could however tie the handles around the handlebar or chassis.

Take care not to overload the hooks as the pram may tip backwards. When your child is out of the buggy, it will be especially susceptible to this.

A carabiner-style clip. This is a metal loop with a spring-loaded section to open it. The loop is attached to both the pram and the bags.
A carabiner-style clip with a Velcro strap, which is wrapped around the handlebar or pram chassis. This has a metal loop attached to it for the bags.
A hook with a Velcro strap for the handlebars or frame. The bags (or coats) are hung on the hook.
A double hooked clip. One hook goes over the handlebars, the other is for storage.
Which is the best kind of pram clip?
The ones with a carabiner-style clip are usually made from metal which in most cases will be stronger and more durable than plastic. They also often have a partial padded foam coating to prevent the clip from slipping or damaging the pram.
However, if you want to place the clips on the pram chassis as well as the handlebars you may prefer the ones with Velcro straps, which if wrapped tightly, will stay in place on any part of the buggy.
